To reach our homes in this form, trees are planted, harvested, and replanted, often in previously degraded areas, following sustainable management plans. After harvesting, the wood is taken to factories that transform the raw material into an industrialized product—which can be cellulose, used as a raw material for various other products, or the final product, in the case of laminate flooring or wood paneling.

Meet Iba

We are the association that has been institutionally representing the cultivated tree sector for 10 years, from the field to the industry, with its main stakeholders.

Today, we represent 50 companies that that produce objects originating from the cultivation of planted trees, as well as independent producers and institutional investors. In addition, Ibá has partnerships with nine state entities that strengthen the image of the sector in the states and municipalities where the activity is present. Created in 2014, Ibá has since become a reference in the production of content and data on the cultivated tree sector in Brazil.
